WYS? is Dave Rouleau‘s latest video featuring a bunch of shredders from out West. We asked Dave how this project came to life and this is what he had to say:
This is a project that I started about 8 months ago with Tyler Debathe after we got cornered in Kale Steven’s kitchen at the Hi8us afterparty by Braeden Wheeler and Gradetone and pretty much forced to make it. I’d met Tyler in Hamilton when I lived there. He was like 20 yrs old or something and was already killing it so hard; career, girlfriend, place downtown, plus he’d been traveling and put out parts already, getting coverage in local mags and online. We ended up working on a project together before I left town and moved back home to the west coast. Fast fwd a couple years and Tyler is just chilling, stackin cash at work and traveling the continent with his best friend from back home when he decides to crash on my couch for a week and check out Vancouver. That was last summer. We ended up having the best summer ever – eating acid, swimming in the ocean, and skating everyday downtown and just sending it all straight to instagram. Then we met Will and Liam and Tyler got on Afternoon and KP came out of the wood work and all these other fools out here doing rad shit everyday. This city is amazing and I feel so thankful to live here everyday. Thank you Damien Derby for helping me get my place and Corey Teskey and Joe Buffalo for the work, and all the homies for the continued love and support. We are most definitely out here – excited to see what comes next and work on a real project. fuck HD 🙂=
