Let’s face it, Tony Hawk could have been sitting back and coasting for years off his success. He’s without question our greatest skateboard ambassador to the mainstream, and he does a great job of representing skateboarding to an extremely wide audience. Throughout all of that outside work, he’s continued to progress on a skateboard, as evidenced by his “Welcome to Indy” video part from last year. Here we see him continuing that progression with a video part that’s been in the making for a few years now. From Birdman himself:

“Doubles, synchronized skateboarding, Cirque du Skate, non-Olympic pairs skating, mosh pit on wheels…? Whatever you call it, I was honored to have “paired up” with so much talent over the last few years while making this video. Some (most) of it was difficult / scary, but worth the effort. Thanks to Andy and everyone that participated for not killing me in the process.”

Props as well for using Modest Mouse, a band with a history of providing the soundtrack for some very, veryclassic parts. “This boat is obviously sinkin’!”
