RVCA is throwing some touch –up paint on it’s skate team. They’ve just announced the addition of Curren Caples, Greyson Fletcher and the return of Ed Templeton.

RVCA is excited to announce two new additions to the skate team – plus the return of a RVCA legacy athlete/ANP artist.

First, we would like to welcome Ed Templeton back to the RVCA brand. Ed started with the RVCA brand before it was a brand and designed the first ANP (Artist Network Program) collection. “I’m so happy to be back in the RVCA family. Looking forward to the skate and art projects in the future!”

Consistent with the brand mantra, The Balance of Opposites, the RVCA brand is known for uniting individuals with different personalities and styles, in a complimentary way. Hence, the introduction of Greyson Fletcher and Curren Caples as our newest skate advocates.

Greyson Fletcher, the son of RVCA Advocate and legendary aerial surfer, Christian Fletcher, is one of the most exciting skaters to watch. In competition or for fun, Greyson skates with zero limitations and flawless style. When asked about joining the RVCA team, Greyson said “I’m stoked to be a part of the RVCA brand. I remember when they were first coming up and I was getting stuff from Pat Tenore (founder) and its rad to be BACK in the RVCA family! And the crew there is all time.”

Born and raised in Ventura, Ca, Curren Caples is the son of Ex-Pro surfer Evan Caples, but Curren decided to take a different path in action sports. Now, Curren is an all terrain skater, amazing at all aspects of the sport. And a great surfer as well. “I am excited to become a part of the RVCA family; RVCA is a family that supports and pushes each other, creatively and competitively – That is truly the image of RVCA that I have in my mind. It feels great to know that RVCA believes in me.”

When asked about the development of the Skate program, RVCA founder, PM Tenore said, “I love our skate team – unique individuals and the true essence of balance of opposites – exciting times! Austin Stephens, the RVCA team manager and former professional RVCA skate team rider, has done an amazing job of creating an eclectic team with some of the best skaters and personalities in the business. I look forward to doing great things with these guys!”

RVCA is the brainchild of company Founder and President, PM Tenore. Transcending the boundaries of traditional action sports apparel, RVCA is a design-driven lifestyle brand free from passing trends. Appearing as naturally on the shelves of boutiques as on those of a local skateshop, RVCA is brought together by a group of like-minded individuals from various subcultures, a collaboration of sorts, a lifestyle within itself.

PM Tenore’s intention from the very beginning has been to create a platform for RVCA, which combines art, music, fashion and a modern lifestyle in an original way. At the forefront of this vision has been RVCA’s Artist Network Program (ANP)-a venture established to showcase the talents of accomplished as well as unknown artists who inspire our generation and push the boundaries of creative excellence.

Established to promote the genuine integrity of RVCA’s subcultures while simultaneously giving back to the community, RVCA in essence is redefining the way the market views art and fashion as represented through the balance of opposites and how they coexist: water, oil; air, land; destruction, industrialization; art, science; foreign, domestic; order, chaos; past, present. For RVCA, it is about today, tomorrow and life as the big picture. It is about inspiring our generation, providing something of substance and culture and above all doing it with integrity and as a united family, a close-knit community.
