Located in the world-famous Bund waterfront area in central Shanghai, China, the 2017 VPS World Championships will pit skateboarding’s elite pros against select VPS Continental Champions to present the greatest showcase of men’s and women’s park terrain skateboarding talent the world has ever seen in a custom-designed and purpose-built, VPS-certified park terrain competition course. This year’s World Championships park course design highlights a surplus of creative features including a center island extension, a kicker into laid back bank, a round flat bar, big hip into the deep end, huge jump box and more, all of which is built directly next to the mesmerizing backdrop of the Shanghai city skyline.

With a total purse of more than US$160,000 on the line, this historic culmination will officially crown the men’s and women’s 2017 VPS World Champions of Park Terrain Skateboarding and establish next year’s elite VPS Pro Tour class.
